About Me
Growing up on a farm in Montgomery County, my experience in building, construction, equipment maintenance, and overall farm work started at a young age. My technical training began in high school, attending Vocational Technical Training at Davis Hart Career Center in Mexico, MO. From there, I went on to Electronics Institute in Kansas City, where I received my A.A.S, in Electronic Engineering Technology.
After graduating from Electronics Institute, I began my career at Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies in Kansas City, which operates the DOE/NNSA's Kansas City National Security Campus. I dedicated 15+ years to various roles at Honeywell, utilizing diverse electrical, mechanical, and design skills. This included conducting tests, operating equipment, collecting data, and building prototypes. In 2018, I was promoted to Sr. Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Security Specialist, responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing security operations according to NNSA and DOE directives. This entailed meticulous inspections, surveys, and briefing preparation.
In 2014, I worked as the general contractor on the construction of my family’s custom-built home in Lee’s Summit, MO. I am currently the general contractor on our family's second custom build in Centralia, MO. I manage all aspects of construction, from initial house design to coordinating and managing all the materials, subcontractors, and budget. I am the sole field manager and provide much of the labor myself.
When my wife was offered a position with the UM System, we decided to relocate our family to mid-Missouri so that we could be closer to our farm ground in Middletown, MO. It was then I decided to merge my passion for construction with my technical inspection expertise, creating a certified home inspections business.
